The Journey

In January 2005 - three months after the birth of our first child Caleb- Charis and I began the process of applying for overseas ministry. Our journey included six years of raising funds, the birth of our second son Miles, nine months of language learning in Spain, and, in the midst of everything, the adoption of our daughter Ati from Ethiopia. On November 7, 2012, our family was finally ready to board the plane for Spain and begin ministry at Evangelical Christian Academy.
Charis' parents and sister brought us (and all our luggage!) to the Boston Logan Airport.

Leaving is bitter-sweet. Tears were definitely shed as we said good-bye... Besides Charis' family, we were leaving behind other family members and friends with whom we have shared many memories.
